first annual Harrisburg Capitol Conference was a success!

Harrisburg
Connections
The
first annual Pennsylvania Apartment Association (PAA) Harrisburg
Capitol Conference, held in October, 2007 was, by all accounts,
a huge success. Enthusiastic members from the Apartment Associations
of Greater Philadelphia, Central Pennsylvania, and Western
Pennsylvania converged on Pennsylvania’s state capitol
to talk with legislators about issues that affect the apartment
industry. The group got important “face time”
with several elected officials and advanced PAA’s relations
with lawmakers.
Kim
Sokoloski, our lobbyist at Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney,
and Christine Young Gertz, Esq. Government Affairs Director
are already planning next year’s Conference. As Governor
Rendell says, politics is, “all about relationships.”
The event greatly advanced PAA’s efforts to develop
these vital personal links.
